With the abundance of information and knowledge at our student's fingertips, the inquiry-based learning teaching model is making a resurgence amongst educators around the world. Mr. MacKenzie will walk you through several inquiry models beginning with a teacher directed framework and moving towards a student directed process. Helping students brainstorm topics and discuss issues, formulating driving questions, planning and assessing a unit, and creating authentic work will be presented. Many student examples will be shared throughout the workshop as well as resources for teacher use. During this workshop, we will focus on the using Google Drive to save, share, edit and collaborate on inquiry projects.
