Future Ready Sewanhaka Deeper Learning Summit


We are excited to announce the Future Ready Sewanhaka Deeper Learning Summit by EdTechTeam.  The event will take place on August 2nd and 3rd, 2017 at New Hyde Park Memorial High School in New Hyde Park, New York.

Enjoy two days of inspiring keynote speakers, empowering hands-on breakout sessions, and fun activities including a high-energy demo slam.  Both days of this event include a catered breakfast and lunch.

Choose from compelling sessions about all the Apps in the G Suite for Education (Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drawings, YouTube, Classroom, Maps and more) as well as sessions that go beyond the tools that feature cutting edge best practices in educational technology and great teaching!  This event will also feature sessions focused on iOS devices in the classroom.

Connect with world class presentations by our passionate and FUN Spotlight and General speakers all Apple Distinguished Educators and Google Certified Trainers.  They’ll share their passion and expertise on topics like Project Based Learning (PBL), Digital Literacy, STEM, Math, Digital Citizenship, Assistive Technology and more! Currently has the role of Director of Student Achievement and Instructional Technologies for the Sewanhaka CHSD in Nassau County, NY. Currently oversees the Instructional Design and Technology Integration initiatives for 5 comprehensive high schools and one Career and Technical Education Center. In total supports over 600 faculty and learning environments.

Previous to his current position Christopher was the Director of Instructional Technologies for over a decade at the North Syracuse CSD where he led integration initiatives throughout 12 school campuses.

Christopher is also a former NYSCATE Board Member serving for over a decade. In that role he chaired many events including the NYSCATE Leadership Summit.

Christopher presents regularly at local, state and national education conferences and holds both MS and BS degrees in Educational Design and Computer Science, COSN Educational Technology Leader and NYS School District Leader Certifications.
